The Canadian Professional Rodeo Association (CPRA) is the largest Rodeo Associations in Canada and hosts over 60 sanctioned rodeo events each year. The top ten (10) cowboys over the course of the CPRA Rodeo season earn the privilege to attend the Canadian Finals Rodeo (CFR) in Edmonton, Alberta.
The Saskatoon Stampede Pro Rodeo is the first sanctioned CPRA event in the 2009 CPRA rodeo season and the final three (3) performances prior to the Canadian Finals Rodeo in Edmonton, Alberta. This unique feature will ensure that the Saskatoon Stampede Pro Rodeo secures the very elite competitors in Canada. Seven (7) rodeo events will be featured at each performance with over 150 cowboys and cowgirls competing and the top scores of the contestants at the three (3) performances will determines who the Saskatoon Stampede Pro Rodeo Event Champions will be. Events featured at each performance include:
- Bull Riding
- Ladies Barrel Racing
- Team Roping
- Saddle Bronc
- Tie Down Roping
- Bareback Riding
- Steer Wrestling
The Canadian Professional Rodeo Association sanctions Canada’s most prestigious rodeo events which include the Calgary Stampede in Calgary, Alberta and the Canadian Finals Rodeo in Edmonton, Alberta and points from this association qualify our Canadian Cowboys’ the opportunity to make it into the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. The Saskatoon Stampede Pro Rodeo is ranked as Saskatchewan premier professional rodeo event and one of the top rodeo events in Canada.
